I wanted to share with everyone who we picked for our wedding photographer. Now, most of you probably aren't really concerned with who we picked but, for those of you out there looking for amazing talent, Mikki Platt photography is where it's at. Cameron and I are about two weeks away from our first session with Mikki for our engagements and I couldn't be more excited. Her work is absolutely beautiful. From what I understand, Mikki takes the photos and her hubby edits them amazingly. Their business has recently changed gears a littl bit with a new name, from Captured by Mikki to Mikki Platt Photography. I hope you guys will check out their work because, it is simply beautiful.

The story.
Well two weeks of the engagement down.. 131 days left to go. Being engaged has such a different feeling to it, and its not a bad one at all. I am starting this whole new chapter in my life, and that is so amazing. Sometimes I sit and think... holy cow, we're getting married. . . we're going to have a family together. I'm going to be a wife.. scary! But, oh so exciting. I cannot wait.
As most of you know Cameron and I are going on five years of spending every possible moment together.. .. March will mark five years. I feel very confident in saying that we are supposed to be together forever. I know it. We are young... really young. But it's time. We are ready to start this new chapter.
Let me start the story off with saying that Cameron really did an amazing job with the proposal. Cameron had been home on his break from school for about a week or so. We had looked at rings a few times, I knew the one I wanted and was just kind of waiting.. I thought he would get it and surprise me with it because I loved it so much and Its the one that i really wanted. But, during his time home we went ring shopping yet again... I didn't like anything. I was frustrated. I thought for sure that we would be past all of this ring shopping. I thought for sure he would have bought the ring that I fell in love with but, he had convinced me that he hadn't bought that ring and that we needed to wait a little longer and keep looking for the "perfect ring." UGH! Little did I know that Cameron had my ring for about a month before he popped the question.
Christmas day went as normal, exchanged gifts, ate lots of yummy food, and just bummed around. Around 7:00 that night we decided to head down to my house and be with my family for a little. When we got to my house my whole family was home just hanging out in the family room. Nothing out of the norm, really. I told my mom I wasn't feeling great and she kept saying, "go put some make up on and some earrings, you will feel much better." Oh, she knew something was coming and she knew that I looked scary! So, I went to grab my makeup and in the process decided i wanted to put on some pjs. I had to go downstairs to grab a t-shirt so, I have on my scary jams, and and cami, that's it... As I'm walking out to the family room I get stopped by Jackson, my little nephew. He is holding a gift bag. "Jordan, you forgot one present, it was under the tree." I'm thinking to myself, YES! One more gift! As I start opening it I see inside this little memory box I had made for Cameron when he first went away to school after we graduated. I open it up. Inside is a bunch of wrapping paper... I start sorting through it and Cameron tells me that there isn't anything in the paper and it dawns on me... Holy cow, this couldn't be happening. Christmas day? My whole family watching?? After reading a little saying about forever that was in the box Cameron gets on one knee, opens up the ring box and inside is my favorite ring!
Instant tears, hugging, loving, all that jazz. Cameron is the most amazing person. I am in love with him, more than I thought possible. He is amazing.
