Christmas time

I've come to realize that when you have no idea what you're going to get anyone for Christmas it causes lots of unnecessary stress and anxiety, and I don't even have children to worry about. Yikes.
But I did finally get all of my Christmas shopping done today... a week before Christmas too, go me. Generally I have everything figured out but this year was different, I had zero idea what to get anyone. In the end I was really excited about the gifts I got for everyone. I feel like its more exciting to watch people open their gifts then it is to open your own, there definitely is something fun about giving. One of these years I think it would be fun to do a big secret Santa Christmas, that would be a really neat experience.

Update on my life: Nothing new.

Ok Ok OK.... so maybe i'm way lame...

So I've just been toying around with this song and I still need to patch up a couple of spots but hey, its 1:30, it happens.

Those of you out there that look at my blog (which I believe is now about 7) let me know what you think! This was just a fun little way to get my song on the internet. I couldn't figure any other way of putting it on the blog other than making it with a picture as a video so... there.

Let me know.

My dad = amazing.

I drive a 1994 Mazda 626 and let me tell you what... this car is quite the champ. Other than the transmission going out slowly, the rattling when the car is stopped, and the headliner falling on my head, its a pretty nice little car. I've been debating whether or not I should buy a new car but I figured, I'll just try and make mine as nice looking as possible and wait it out to buy a new one so, last Wednesday my wonderful father and I went out to the car junk yard and searched many cars until we found the perfect one. We found a 1995 mazda 626 with a beautiful looking headliner and decided that was the one to take.

For those of you who have never been to a place like this its just rows and rows and rows of junk cars that you can go out and tare apart to get whatever parts you may need for your car, I kind of felt bad for all of the lonely cars... weird of me, I know.

My dad got in the destroyed old car and took out an amazing looking headliner that would fit into my little car at home. My dad is so amazing, he just got right in there and knew exactly what to do to get it out, I was so impressed, he's my superman that's for sure.

When we got home I realized that I had told my dad that my light in my car was a square one when in fact it wasn't... haha.. we had a fun time figuring out how to fix that situation, but we got it. No worries. The finishing product looks awesome and I feel so much better driving in my car. I love my dad. He could fix anything, I swear. I love it. I love him. He's so cool.

My old headliner.. what a beaut.

Macbook = good

Well you all know that I recently bought a gateway PC and I was so happy with it... until the computer wouldn't sleep and had problems getting on the Internet. I really didn't think anything about it until one day Cameron had to run his Macbook into the apple store to get looked at. Cameron has had his macbook for almost three years and has had it be such an awesome computer for him but, there was a problem with the back light that he'd had to get fixed a couple of times. We walked right in there and they handed him a brand new computer... I sat for a couple of weeks on it and kept thinking about what I would do if my computer were to break, I'd have to call the gateway costumer service, figure all of that information out, and ship it in and not be guaranteed help. That sounded like a lot of stress and no so much help. I ended up returning the computer to costco and going and picking up a macbook. I have a great warranty and if anything goes wrong I just make an appointment and get one on one help at the genius bar. I'm very excited to have such an awesome computer that's really fun to use. I like it better already. Freals.

Oh just some computer fun...

My new footie pajamas

Everyone... I bought footie pajamas and yes, I wear them...every night.

To move or not to move?? That is a definite question.

I have a couple of girlfriends that are looking into moving out together. My one friend Jaclyn already lives down in Provo and is going to BYU. She can't stand her roommates and is begging my other friend Jacqueline to move out with her and to bring me along. At first the whole idea sounded so exciting and new but now, I'm having second thoughts. Although it would be an awesome learning experience to go to school, meet new people, and learn to fend for myself, I'm not too excited to leave my cute little house. I think the one thing that freaks me out is that i'd be one hour and 3 minutes (according to mapquest) away from my comfort zone, I couldn't just hurry and run home. Who knows... Maybe it wouldn't be too bad. I'll figure something out.

A day to remember.

I was recently going through my drawers in my night stand and came across a journal entry/ piece of paper that I'd written two years ago to kind of vent about things.. I feel like it's an appropriate time to share... Pardon my grammer...

There's something important I feel like sharing that, as a whole I've never shared. As life seems to pass us by so quickly some people forget to sit down and reflect on things in their lives, feelings they've had, and things they've never shared. I'd like to talk about my cousin Matt. I know people will think that because we never really lived by each other that we didn't have a very good relationship.. but we surely did. Matt used to come to my house and do all of his laundry and get haircuts from my mom, as well as live with my awesome grandparents. We shared a lot of laughs. One night while i was laying in bed reading my scriptures, (yes, i totally was) I had a knock on my bedroom door.. Matt peaked his head in and asked what I was up to. He sat on my bed looking at all the pictures that I had scattered around my room. He looked at a picture that I had of molly and myself and chuckled to himself, I explained to him that it was a while back when we'd gone to one of his football games. We talked for a while and then he stood up, lifted a leg, and gave a big fart running out of the door to leave me with the stench... classic Matt. One memory I'll definitely never forget was the night Kylee, Matt, and I were at grandma Millers house and we just messing around. Kylee and I talked Matt into going to Emu's grave at the salt lake city cemetery. We had fully convinced Matt that there was a man that sat on his sons grave with a while cloak over himself. Matt assured us that he was a tuff guy and didn't believe that this was a true story and that he'd beat this guy up. We headed into downtown listening to weirdo rap music in the big red truck . To get to the grave you can either get out and walk or just drive by. Once we got there Matt locked the doors and held onto the steering wheel so tight. haha. When he saw Emu he screamed like a little girl and drove off so fast... quickly turning onto a one way street .... it was definitely a scary moment. funny. Another time when Matt was at my house he found my dads football dummy's. Landon and him had been playing around with them when i told him to hold it while i ran into it and tried to take it out. One, Two, Three!! I ran so fast and hard towards the dummy and i swear, with all of his power and might, he pushed that bag thirty times harder back into me. I flew backwards hitting the ground like i had fallen fifteen feet. My ears were ringing and all i could hear were the laughs of Landon and Matt. As time goes by i still think about what an example Matt was to me. I could sit here and tell you all of my stories of matt but it would be such a long story time. Even when the tears are rolling down my face when i take a moment to think back to when Matt lived in Utah, the spirit touches my heart. I feel so strongly that he's so happy where he is right now. I get to see Matt's picture everyday when I drive my car... his pictures sits on my car's dashboard. He reminds me of the blessings in my life and the importance of this life. I miss Matt. A lot. I miss the nickname..."strawberry." Matt was such a good friend/example... I'll never forget him.

I had written that just a little bit after Matt had past away. When I found the papers I felt like maybe I should share it with all of you guys. I truly loved and adored my cousin Matt... I am thankful for my understanding of this life... it was a blessing to have during such a hard time.

It has been so much fun watching Landon play this year. Last weekend we went to the Bountiful vs Viewmont game. As we walked into the stands we passed the student section, it made me so sad not to be walking up into the stands with all of the students. Life after high school really is a shock. Why I was so eager to get out is beyond me. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I work like crazy trying to save up as much money as I can so I can go to school and that is super tiring. I'm so lucky to have such an awesome aunt Michelle to help me figure everything out. She helped me get everything organized and helped me figure out all of the finances and other information. I couldn't have gotten the ball rolling with out her or Cameron. I'm planning on doing all of my generals at SLCC and then hopefully transferring to a university to do some nursing (labor and delivery). It has always been such a dream of mine to be a nurse and, as I used to say when I was little, take care of all the little babies. Now, I know that I've changed my mind about what I want to do like 2304893 times, but i feel like this is where I'm supposed to be. I know that its going to be hard but I'm willing to give it all I've got, I mean, I am paying for this... I'll make it worth it. I'm a little discouraged because in the back of my mind I keep thinking... you're definitely not smart enough to do something like that but, I want to prove myself wrong and show my family/people that I can do something if i stick my mind to it.
Maybe I find something else I want to do... who knows? But for now, I'm hoping to be come an RN.

A well needed update.

There are so many new things I need to update on!

1- American Idol auditions.

2- Vacationing.

3- ATL Jonas brothers.

- - American idol was a really fun experience and i'm glad that I went and tried out. I obviously didn't make it because if I did i'm sure you'd all be aware. It was crazy though, there were SO many people there. How it worked was, you went one day to get your wristbands and then the next day you would go back for the actual audition. Randy, Paula, and Simon weren't even there so it was really lame. The producers actually did the auditioning and decided whether or not you would come back and sing for the actual judges. There were about 10 tables of judges and you'd go up in groups of four to sing. One person from your group would just take a step forward and sing about 30 seconds of a song and then it would be the next persons turn. I felt like a sang very well and felt comfortable about it. In the end the producers told us that we weren't what they were looking for. In the end i was ready to be home because it had been a long day. It was a fun experience.

-- A while ago I was lucky enough to go up to Cameron's family ranch. It was SO much fun. Its nice to get away from all of the stress. Its up in Grays lake, Idaho and is the cutest little place. We ate lots of yummy food and played around on all of the toys. It was a fun trip.

-- Oh boy, i'm so glad that I got to go to Atlanta and see my old buddy Jaclyn. She's such a sweetie and is always so much fun to be around. She finished out her last to years in high school up there when he family had to move. My other friend Jacqueline moss is way obsessed with the Jonas brothers and so we flew down for the concert and stayed at Jaclyns house. Yeah, they're names are both Jaclyn/jacqueline. We stayed in their beautiful house in Fayetteville Georgia and had a girls weekend. Jaclyns dad hooked us up with free tickets so I only had to pay for My buddy pass. It was SO much fun. The south is absolutely beautiful ... I'd totally move there. Now i'm not that in love with the Jonas brothers and tons of screaming girls but they did put on a fun show.

Since Summer Began...

I've come to realize that worrying about paying for college is a lot more stressful than worrying about where I'm going to do my back to school shopping.

I've come to realize that working full time sucks.

I haven't talked to the people that I promised to keep in touch with.

I've gotten sun burned, eaten otter pops, and played in the sprinklers.

I've planned on auditioning at the energy solutions arena for American Idol on July 29th.

I've decorated my room slightly.

I opened my first bank account.

I turned 18.

I got a sweet new Juicy watch that I love.

I've taken a total of five pictures.

I've gained like 5 pounds.

I've broken one cell phone.

I've been out of town zero times.

I've made some new work buddies.

I've spent approximately 100.00 bucks in gas.

I went to a drive in movie.

I haven't played my guitar.

I've sang two solos.

I've had about 2148723947 blizzards.

I've enjoyed molten lava cakes.

I realized that popularity isn't going to mean much in college... thank heavens.

I've applied for school at Weber.

I've been able to buy cold medicine because I'm 18.

I've had an overall nice time.

Graduation Time

Well its all over! Its been a nice 12 years but its nice to be done. There's no doubt in my mind that I'll miss all of the people from school though. People are always saying how fast it goes and I now realize that they weren't lying. It really did fly by. There's a couple highlights of my week that I'll touch on.
Last Saturday was the senior banquet where all of the senior class goes to dinner and they give out most likely and things like that. They have a slide show of pictures that everyone turned in that was really fun to watch. After that they had a stomp(dance) that was really fun.
Graduation was way fun. When i got there I saw all of my peers all dressed up in their caps and gowns and that was really stinkin cute. I got to sing with the concert choir and sit on the stand which was really fun. It was definitely bittersweet.
After graduation there was an all night party that went from 12:00-5:00AM... I've never stayed up that late before... it was intense, there was so much going on though that the time flew by. I won 10 bucks for winning a text messaging contest... that was pretty sweet. They had this cash cube thing that blew money all around and some kid won like 200 bucks. I didn't get to do that but everyone was winning so much money.
I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life but when I figure it out I'll be sure to let everyone know.
Here are some totally random pictures. All the graduation ones are on my mom's computer so I'll add them later.

School Dance Concert

I'm officially finished with the dance concert and let me say one thing... I can't believe how all the hard work that was put into this show! The dancers that are apart of the program at my school put so many hours into the show, it's crazy! I loved working with all of the different vocalists as well as my vocal coach Holly. I had a lot of fun chatting with some of the girls backstage and being goofy.. that's what I do I guess. Here are a few pictures from behind the scenes.

Happy Birthday Mom!

I just thought I'd give a little "shout out" to my mom and tell her happy birthday! I'm so thankful to have my mom in my life, I don't know what I'd do without her. My mom has the sweetest heart of anyone I've ever met and would do anything for any of her kids or grand kids. She's definitely the best mother ever. We love You!!!

Two really long, boring stories.

I just wanted to share a really disgusting story about the Mr. Viewmont assembly at my school Thursday. Every year there is a senior boy that gets crowned Mr. Viewmont in a huge school assembly. I'm not quite sure what it means to them... I guess it just makes them incredibly cool? Anyways, there was a 30 second chugging contest where all of the contestants chug as much soda as they can. Whoever drinks the most in that thirty seconds wins that round and continues on. While the judges are judging every ones bottles to see who drank the most, I see out of the corner of my eye some boy just letting go of all of the soda he just drank. He throws up on the stage in front of all the school. Everyone in the audience was cheering so loud while i was trying not to lose my breakfast all over my friends. Here's the real kicker... about three minutes later he does it AGAIN except this time he like throws up 3 times more and it goes everywhere. ok, when you're about to throw up don't you usually like run to a bathroom or at least OFF STAGE!? Everyone was cheering this kid on because he kept ralfing all over... it was so gross. The stage crew came out and had to clean it up and everything... it was so gross. That kid ended up winning the whole thing. ew.

Cam and I went to Bajio for lunch yesterday and I handed Cameron my money so i could run to the bathroom. When I came back and went to pay I was searching my pockets for my money and couldn't find it anywhere. I told Cameron that I had given it to him and he was pretty sure that he had given it back to me before I left. So we searched Bajio high and low for my 100 dollar bill. I'm like freaking out because that's a lot of money and I needed it! Well I ask this table of sophomore boys if they had seen anyone pick it up or if they had "accidentally" picked it up. They told me that they hadn't seen it. So I go to sit down and I'm way upset about it and this cute old man walks over to me and says that i should ask the boys at the table right next to his again. So I turn to walk over there and this kid hands me my money and says, "oh sorry, I didn't hear you asking about it." I was like um yeah! what a little butt! He had taken my money off the counter when they got there. The thing that bothers me is that I asked him to his face and he said no to me. When he heard that man tell me he knew that he'd heard them talking about it. I'm thankful for that man and I'm just happy that I got it back.

Hey, maybe I do have mad skills.

I've never been one to draw or to be creative in any kind of art form other than singing, but I do enjoy some jewelry making. I'm taking a class at school that's all about making jewelry and I'm loving it. I've made some fun bracelets and necklaces earlier this term but we're on to the making rings. I made a way fun green ring that turned out to be really funky/rad looking. I love it. Imagine a class full of girls and chemicals and fire... its intense...
