Merry Christmas

Well, it doesn't really feel like Christmas has already come and gone.. I hate when that happens.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Cameron is home for his Christmas break and that has been so much fun, I miss seeing that darn kid everyday. My dad made a big dinner on Christmas eve for the fam and a few friends.. Prime rib Dean style is amazing. After dinner everyone sat down and talked, then it was time for uncle Lee to break out the guitar for some Christmas caroling. Holy cow were we terrible. . .

After the beautiful singing, Cameron and I exchanged our gifts. This year marks the fourth Christmas that we have been dating so, coming up with fun ideas is kind of hard. Now, if anyone knows my sister Kylee they know that she is lady crafty.. (like lady gaga but, lady crafty. ha) she can do multiple things. I decided that I wanted to take on the project of making Cameron a rag quilt blanket... Jordan... With a sewing machine??? I know, I know, but guys, I did it. It was AWESOME! Kylee showed me how to do it and sent me on my way, I felt like a woman or something. I think Cameron was pleasantly surprised to find that in the box wrapped in red wrapping paper. I love giving people gifts, it makes my heart happy. Here's a picture of
the finished product. My mom documented. . . this might be the last time I take on a project like that lol.

Christmas morning.
That baby doll looks just like one that my grandma had bought me when I was a baby, after a while it got lost somewhere. My mom found my siblings and I all of our old childhood dolls and gave them to us on christmas eve. It was really fun to see all of those toys again.

I realize that it has been a while since I've last updated and for that, I apologize. I think at this point I update this blog just for myself, I enjoy going to back and looking on past posts to see what I was up to in months past. But for those of you who do come across this blog once in a blue moon, here's a little update for you.

I kind of have to laugh at myself because I have already moved home, but, for good reasons! I was out of the house for about 3ish months and it was AWESOME! In that short amount of time I learned a lot about myself and a lot about how much my parents do for me/my family. It's amazing how fast everything adds up (bills ect.) I learned a lot about working with a tight budget which, to be completely honest was exciting because I managed my money really well but sucked hardcore because I couldn't spend like I had been in the past. I moved out with my good good friend Jackie and couldn't have asked for a better roommate, we have always gotten along really well with each other. I miss hanging out with her every night. It was always my plan to get on my own for a few months and move home to go to school.

Its about time that I actually enroll in some classes and try out the college experience. I'm not sure what kind of school experience I'll get at SLCC but, we'll find out. I am currently signed up for 12 credit hours but am not sure if I'll drop just one class so I don't get overwhelmed for any reason for my first semester back to school in a couple of years. You have to EASE yourself into these things, ok?

Being back home has been nice, everyone always says that being home after you've moved out is the worst but, I've absolutely loved it, my family is awesome so, I pretty much still live with a bunch of friends, they're my roomies.

I was trying to think back on the year 2009 and think of major events that have happened, things of that nature and am having a really hard time.. I...

-Got a Job at the credit union

-Worked at chili's until about Mayish..

-Missed my chili's discount.

-Turned 19

-Almost died from the swine flu (seriously, got swine + the live virus vaccine = death)

-Had Cameron leave for school.

- and.... nothing else.

I can't believe it's going to be 2010.. I sound like an old lady. "Man the years just fly by..."

All moved out.

I am happy to announce that I have moved out of my little comfort zone and into the real world. Tonight will be my 4th night sleeping in my new, very white, bedroom. If it weren't for my friend Jackie and her new step dad, I wouldn't be moving out right now. You see, Her step dad owns a condo downtown SLC that has just been sitting there so, we convinced him that he should rent it out to us until it sales. We gave him about.. one day to think about everything and he gave us the answer. YES. We are getting a good good deal on a very nice condo in the exciting downtown area. We realize that it is possible that we wont be there for TOO long but, it's worth it even if it's for a couple of months, no one has bitten since he put it for sale anyways. Is it a bad thing if I don't want it to be sold?

I'm already feeling the stress of budgeting, groceries, bills ect. Trying to figure all of this stuff out has given me an ulcer. (not really) I definitely appreciate my parents now though, I realize how much work it is to, well, live.

I'm trying to think of things to eat, I don't know how to cook. This might be a problem.

Lazy Sunday

No I don't think I'm artistic. No I don't think I'm the most creative person ever. I just enjoyed taking these pictures.
Tomato's to football helmets to random pictures that I took of myself. I need a life.

Vacation with the Leishman's

Ok so I might just be a little slow at this blogging thing but, better late then never. Our Oklahoma vacation with the friends was canceled due to some unfortunate weather out of Denver so, didn't end up going which, I was bummed but would rather stay home then sleep in an airport. I was excited to go with the Leishman's to their ranch though, that made up for the non Oklahoma trip.

This will be about the third time I've been up to the Tingey ranch and every time I go up there I never want to come home. Who wouldn't want amazing meals, no work, and being lazy/relaxed? We always have the greatest food up there, Jean (Cameron's mom) is an amazing cook and feeds us the best food. One night bbq pork ribs, the other fettuccine Alfredo, my request/favorite meal ever. Thanks to Jean for making me chub!

Cameron's dad also took up some of his guns so we could shoot them for something to do. I will say this, I'm terrible at shooting clay pigeons... Not my talent in life. I do like shooting the 22 though, that was fun.

We always have so much fun just lounging around and munchin. Cameron's mom got me hooked on cross stitching so I spent most of my time doing that, I'm such a grandma!

The last two years we went on a river trip down the snake river and its always so much fun. Half way down the river the raft pulls off and you walk up the mountain a little bit and they feed you a yummy steak dinner. It was awesome! The river was high and the rapids were crazy, I'm surprised I didn't fall out. At one point they let you jump out and swim so cam and I jumped in, the water was freezing!

Here are just some random photos.

Happy birthday America.

I love the fourth of July.. It's always such a fun/relaxed holiday where you can eat good food and be with your family. This fourth we had a BBQ at Lindsay and Kevin's in their backyard and did fireworks. Lindsay and Kevin have an awesome back yard for a family BBQ so it worked out perfectly. We had such a fun time visiting and messing around. Sam brought glow sticks to use while we did fireworks but, we decided to bust them open and get each other all glowy. Macey was a walking glow stick and thought that was just the coolest thing ever. Here are just a couple pictures from the BBQ:

Thank you Lindsay and Kevin for letting us all come over, it was so much fun! Love you guys!

Congrats Ky and Sam.

Kylee and Sam got married last wednesday the 1st and it was absolutely beautiful. I'm so happy for the two of them, they're so great together. We love sam and are so happy to have him in our family.

Soooshee (This post has no importance)

Cameron and I went to lunch at one of our favorite (because it's reasonable in price) sushi places downtown a couple of weeks ago. Now, when I say sushi I mean, mostly cali rolls and simple things like that, I'm not a huge lover of raw fish. Although, I did have some awesome squid salad that was pretty stinkin' good. Anyways, I was enjoying one of my rolls when I started to choke on a long piece of seaweed... At first I didn't quite know what to do but then, just realized I had to pull it out. It was pretty scary. All of this happening while Cameron was focusing on something else. Yikes. I think I'll start chewing my food now.

After the damage was done.

Seriously so love this blog.

I've always found it funny how people blog about their seriously so AWESOME lives and how perfect they are. I find it hard sometimes to read certain blogs or especially, for my age group, look at facebook. People love to post pictures and update their status about something way cooler then anything anyone else does. I might consider deleting my facebook due to the fact that it majorly depresses me and makes me feel like I'm not half as cool as anyone else.

Cameron came accross the blog and insisted that I read it, and i'm so thankful that he made me read it because, it's so stinkin' funny. This lady writes this blog about being "SOseriouslyblessed.''
Its a fictional mormon lady that writes about her totally awesome life. I can't explain. Go look.

LOVE TAMN!

NEW CAR

Well I finally did it... I bought a new car. After searching online and going to a few dealerships I found the perfect car, or, cam found the perfect car. I've been looking online at the classifieds for some time now searching for a car that was a good price, low miles, and something that would last me a while. About a week ago Cam and I were looking at KSL for some cars and came across a o5' Honda civic for a killer price that had only been online for a day, so we hurried and called. I pretty much told the guy on the phone not to sell it because I really wanted it. After work the next day Cam and I drove out to Salt Lake to look at the car and take it for a test drive. Unfortunately, I didn't do much driving due to the fact that I hadn't mastered the stick shift just yet. Well long story short I absolutely loved the car and ended up buying it. I've stalled it about 5 times total and 3 of those were this morning on my way to work... yikes. I'll get it down someday.

Pictures coming soon.

not paying 24 dollars for a headband.

I recently went shopping in hopes to find a really fun feather headband only to find that they ran about 18-24 dollar which I thought was a total rip so... I decided to make my own.
Shelby, Hanna (Cameron's little sister), and myself went to the dollar store and wal-mart and found all of the supplies we would need to make some fun headbands. Here is what we came up with :

Mell of a Hess

Hanner Janner

Starting a new job.

There's always something scary about starting a new job, I do not like. I wish I could just jump ahead a month or two so that I would know what I was doing.

I just started my job at America First and have really enjoyed it... other then not know what the heck I'm doing. I can do simple things like deposits/withdrawls but there are so many complicated things that I could screw up. Today I'm all by myself for the first time, I'm sure there will be lots of questions asked. The girl sitting next to me will most likely want to kill me by the end of the afternoon.

I'm still going to try and work at Chili's but its hard to work with both schedules. I feel bad because I've had to take off 2 weeks from chili's so I could complete my training at the Credit Union. Yikes. Luckily I think I still have my job.

Other than a new job, nothing new to report. Life is good.
