Merry Christmas

Well, it doesn't really feel like Christmas has already come and gone.. I hate when that happens.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Cameron is home for his Christmas break and that has been so much fun, I miss seeing that darn kid everyday. My dad made a big dinner on Christmas eve for the fam and a few friends.. Prime rib Dean style is amazing. After dinner everyone sat down and talked, then it was time for uncle Lee to break out the guitar for some Christmas caroling. Holy cow were we terrible. . .

After the beautiful singing, Cameron and I exchanged our gifts. This year marks the fourth Christmas that we have been dating so, coming up with fun ideas is kind of hard. Now, if anyone knows my sister Kylee they know that she is lady crafty.. (like lady gaga but, lady crafty. ha) she can do multiple things. I decided that I wanted to take on the project of making Cameron a rag quilt blanket... Jordan... With a sewing machine??? I know, I know, but guys, I did it. It was AWESOME! Kylee showed me how to do it and sent me on my way, I felt like a woman or something. I think Cameron was pleasantly surprised to find that in the box wrapped in red wrapping paper. I love giving people gifts, it makes my heart happy. Here's a picture of
the finished product. My mom documented. . . this might be the last time I take on a project like that lol.

Christmas morning.
That baby doll looks just like one that my grandma had bought me when I was a baby, after a while it got lost somewhere. My mom found my siblings and I all of our old childhood dolls and gave them to us on christmas eve. It was really fun to see all of those toys again.

I realize that it has been a while since I've last updated and for that, I apologize. I think at this point I update this blog just for myself, I enjoy going to back and looking on past posts to see what I was up to in months past. But for those of you who do come across this blog once in a blue moon, here's a little update for you.

I kind of have to laugh at myself because I have already moved home, but, for good reasons! I was out of the house for about 3ish months and it was AWESOME! In that short amount of time I learned a lot about myself and a lot about how much my parents do for me/my family. It's amazing how fast everything adds up (bills ect.) I learned a lot about working with a tight budget which, to be completely honest was exciting because I managed my money really well but sucked hardcore because I couldn't spend like I had been in the past. I moved out with my good good friend Jackie and couldn't have asked for a better roommate, we have always gotten along really well with each other. I miss hanging out with her every night. It was always my plan to get on my own for a few months and move home to go to school.

Its about time that I actually enroll in some classes and try out the college experience. I'm not sure what kind of school experience I'll get at SLCC but, we'll find out. I am currently signed up for 12 credit hours but am not sure if I'll drop just one class so I don't get overwhelmed for any reason for my first semester back to school in a couple of years. You have to EASE yourself into these things, ok?

Being back home has been nice, everyone always says that being home after you've moved out is the worst but, I've absolutely loved it, my family is awesome so, I pretty much still live with a bunch of friends, they're my roomies.

I was trying to think back on the year 2009 and think of major events that have happened, things of that nature and am having a really hard time.. I...

-Got a Job at the credit union

-Worked at chili's until about Mayish..

-Missed my chili's discount.

-Turned 19

-Almost died from the swine flu (seriously, got swine + the live virus vaccine = death)

-Had Cameron leave for school.

- and.... nothing else.

I can't believe it's going to be 2010.. I sound like an old lady. "Man the years just fly by..."
