Miss Lucy

I just realized that I have yet to post anything about my little pooch that I got back in March... Oh I had NO idea what I was getting myself into...

I feel like I have a child. I do. I'm raising a child. That's what it feels like but, I love it. There is something really fun about having her there with her little wagging tail when I come home from work, don't make fun, its really comforting.

Psych

I'm not going private. Because there are only 10 of you who read this thing.. its just not worth it. I really think I need to just delete this thing but, I can't bring myself to do it.. maybe someday I'll be a good blogger... but, probably not.

Peace.

Oh hi, my name is Tyler and I'm the cutest thing in the world.

The rules of taekwondo everyone.
Well I decided that it was time to spruce up the ol' bedroom. My mom had mentioned seeing a really fun/pretty chandelier at home depot so, I took advantage of my day off and tackled the mini project. Once we had the chandelier my mom thought it would be a good idea to put a dimmer on the switch, I was so down, couldn't be hard right? Well we hurried home and starting taking everything apart thinking that we could definitely manage, and for a while we were doing well.. until we couldn't find certain wires and what not.. we called my dad right away. He's so handy, he made everything look so easy. He's superman.

At one point in the process my dad cut the chord a little too short so, we (and by we I mean my dad) had to take the whole chandelier apart and rewire it with some extra wires we had from earlier...if that makes any sense. I was having melt down because I thought my money had gone to waste but, my dad knew exactly what he was doing and wasn't stressed at all. Sounds about right.
Don't mind the scary pictures of me, it was a no make up morning.

I'm loving the new light and the touch of femininity.

My views on school thus far.

Ok, well I think it's safe to say that I am getting into the swing of things at school, finally catching on to "college." I have really enjoyed it so far and am happy to be back. Also, SO very happy to only be talking two classes right now, definitely helps the stress level of starting school again to remain low. I'm keeping up in my math class which is nice, I guess there isn't a reason I should not understand it, its pretty standard stuff. Psychology will be another story, from what I hear it can be a difficult class just because they're trying to cram the whole textbook in your mind because its all of the general stuff.. lots to cover. I need to improve my note taking skills, I never know what to write and what to just listen to. I have a feeling that I'll take all my notes on things that wont even be covered on a quiz or something and I'll leave out all of the good info, pfff, I'll get into the groove. Other than that everything is going well.

Cameron is in the Dominican Republic doing some service work with some people from his home ward, dental work that is. Sounds like he's having a good time, I don't really get to talk to him a ton, but from what I've heard he's learned a lot. I definitely miss him when he isn't around.

In other news ... nothing!

Merry Christmas

Well, it doesn't really feel like Christmas has already come and gone.. I hate when that happens.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Cameron is home for his Christmas break and that has been so much fun, I miss seeing that darn kid everyday. My dad made a big dinner on Christmas eve for the fam and a few friends.. Prime rib Dean style is amazing. After dinner everyone sat down and talked, then it was time for uncle Lee to break out the guitar for some Christmas caroling. Holy cow were we terrible. . .

After the beautiful singing, Cameron and I exchanged our gifts. This year marks the fourth Christmas that we have been dating so, coming up with fun ideas is kind of hard. Now, if anyone knows my sister Kylee they know that she is lady crafty.. (like lady gaga but, lady crafty. ha) she can do multiple things. I decided that I wanted to take on the project of making Cameron a rag quilt blanket... Jordan... With a sewing machine??? I know, I know, but guys, I did it. It was AWESOME! Kylee showed me how to do it and sent me on my way, I felt like a woman or something. I think Cameron was pleasantly surprised to find that in the box wrapped in red wrapping paper. I love giving people gifts, it makes my heart happy. Here's a picture of
the finished product. My mom documented. . . this might be the last time I take on a project like that lol.

Christmas morning.
That baby doll looks just like one that my grandma had bought me when I was a baby, after a while it got lost somewhere. My mom found my siblings and I all of our old childhood dolls and gave them to us on christmas eve. It was really fun to see all of those toys again.
